It's a ......

BOY!!!!!!!!

Yesterday we had our 20 week ultrasound, and we will be having another boy! I will now be outnumbered, but we are excited. Above is a picture of his profile. Below are 4 other pictures from the ultrasound - yes, one is the proof we are having a boy! His name will be Isaac Dean. Daniel has no idea what is going to hit in about 4 1/2 months, but I'm sure he will be a great big brother!

A Little Behind These Days....

The pregnancy has left me a little behind these days....cleaning house, cooking, and yes, blogging too. I am 18 weeks and starting to feel a little better, but the energy level isn't back yet. (However my appetite is making up for it!) Here are some recent happenings....
Merry Christmas!

We had a good Christmas and celebrated it at home this year since I wasn't up to going anywhere. We had a good time at both parent's houses and Daniel enjoyed all of his presents!

Radom picture of Daniel "cooking." He was making applesauce and cinnamon, and then feeding us.

Daniel turned 2 on January 9th. As I said, we're a little behind, so he finally had his party about a week ago. Nanny cooked a great chocolate cake and he enjoyed blowing out the candles all by his self this year!

Daniel's cousins, Kameryn and Kaylyn giving a little supprt to the blowing out of candles!

We will find out next Friday what baby #2 will be. We can't wait to find out and will share with everyone next Friday when we find out. Then hopefully we can come up with a name!
Last note....thanks to all of you who have been praying for Paul and me the last few months. We appreciate your prayers for us and the little one! You are such a blessing to our family.

There's a leg under the cast!

Needless to say, he is enjoying his freedom from the cast. He's getting better at walking again and does pretty good at running, too. He still drags his foot behind him when he runs, but time will fix that!

The cast has become a new addition to our toy box.

Daniel is showing off his "fixed" leg. He's quite proud of it!

Daniel's "Big Green Sock"

Here is a pic of his new, bright green sock - not just any "sock" but a new, waterproof casting "sock". Waterproof is a wonderful thing! Daniel got to pick the color and was quite brave for the wrapping. He will get it off in mid-December and should be good to go after that.

After a few days of staying in one place, Daniel decided he wanted to ride on his 4-wheeler. Paul brought it inside and bungied his leg to the side to hold it up. Luckily, the break was not his right leg - the gas pedal!

The Big Fall

Yesterday Daniel was enjoying his swing when a link in the chain broke loose and lauched Daniel and the swing. He was pretty high up and had a hard fall. We are very thankful that his back and neck were all OK, but he did break both bones in his lower left leg. He is going to be in a hard cast for about 6 weeks. We go to the orthopedic doc tomorrow to find out more. For now, he's not so sure why he has a big, hard sock on that he can't take off. We're also adjusting to no standing, walking, and running...we're not sure how that is going to work. We'll let you know!

Home Grown and Homemade!

Daniel decided to be Jr. Asparagus for the church's fall festival last night. With some help of bigidea.com, a sewing maching, black felt and some red paint we did pretty good! Don't you see the resemblance?

This summer Daniel and I worked very hard together to grow a pumpkin in our garden. We only made one, but we were really proud of it when we picked it yesterday....Daniel is still afraid of the stem, though!

Trip to Hot Springs

As a parent, there are things you never thought you would do. One thing on my list would be taking my child 4-wheeling with Paul. No, it's not that Paul is a bad driver, just that it is a really dangerous sport (or atleast that is my perception as a mom!) Well, in September Daniel took his first trip 4-wheeling. Although he didn't ride too long the first time, it was long enough for me!

After a tough day of wheeling, I decided the next day I would take Daniel to the Garvan Gardens - a gorgeous arboretum in Hot Springs. Not too sure how Paul felt about his boy spending the day looking at flowers instead of wheeling on the rocks!
